I was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. My happy childhood included many a memorable summer day at the Delmarva shoreline. I earned a “D” in my junior year of high school English. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I’d grow up to write books.

My Navy Days

I started my naval career with a primary appointment to the Naval Academy from then Senator Joe Biden. While at the Academy, I played four years of varsity football as a walk-on. Though most of my playing action was on special teams or on the scout team in practice, I am a proud member of the Navy Football brotherhood. I was a very mediocre midshipman, graduating about smack dab in the middle of my class of ‘99. I also managed to nab a few days of restriction and lived with multiple “Black N” winners. I have heard and lived many great Naval Academy stories.

Upon graduating in 1999, I attended the Naval Supply Corps School and later went on to spend most of my time as an officer working for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. I met my wife Stacy while we were both serving as officers for Naval Reactors in D.C.

My Post-Navy Days

I left the Navy in 2005, got married, and started my family. I currently work as an executive consultant.

Of all my many passions (writing, surfing, snowboarding), none surpass the love of my family. My wife and I share the joy of raising three children, three dogs, definitely one (possibly two) outdoor cat(s), eleven chickens, and the occasional gold fish, in our little slice of heaven just north of Pittsburgh, PA. We make it to the Delmarva shoreline as much as possible. I listen to Pearl Jam daily.

We’ll see where this writing adventure takes me. I can’t wait to finish the next book in the Black N trilogy!
